Extra info:

Lillo plays the drums for Lùnapop and writes some of the songs.  He was originally Senza Filtro's guitarist but the drummer left, so he decided to take the drummer's place.

Lillo loves to travel, but we don't know where. The important thing to him is that Carol is there when he takes a break.

Carol is Lillo's girlfriend.

Lillo is the only Lùnappoper who does not support the Bolognese basketball team.

After graduating from highschool in 1999, Lillo was called up for Millitary Service, so Lùnapop had to wait til Sept 2000 before they could start playing live.

Lillo has only had short hair in the Qualcosa di Grande Video, when it was still growing out from millitary service.

Lillo loves Queen and the Beatles. He was the first person to introduce Cesare to the beatles.

What fellow Lùnapoppers say about Lillo:

Cesare:  "One day we were sitting around talking about the release of "50 Special", when Lillo called me and asked if we could meet up in piazza Aldrovandi. He told me that he had to leave to do his military service. I couldn't believe it. I kept saying that everything would work out OK, but it didn't. Without Lillo a lot of things changed in the band. He had always been an important figure in the group. A long hard winter started. Without Lillo we really had to work our asses off. We agreed to go anywhere, but it was really stressful, because without Lillo I felt totally responsible for keeping up the band's enthusiasm. Lillo is the kind of guy that loses enthusiasm totally if even the slightest thing goes wrong."

" When Lillo left to do his military service he wasn't a drummer anymore. Music was no longer at the centre of his life, even if it was a situation that made him very unhappy. Lillo was so important that the atmosphere in the group changed completely whenever he got a couple of day's leave. Every time he came back he made such incredible progress that he managed to keep up with the rest of the band. This made me really enthusiastic about the idea of putting together a live show, and now that that whole business is over it's incredible how Lillo gets involved with everything the band is doing. When he finished his military service I said to him, "OK mate, I really need you to help me organize the band, because doing everything on my own is killing me". And he replied, "that's just what I wanted to hear".

"Lillo is like a big teddy bear. He's polite and kind. His main attributes are his love for music, and an inborn artistic sensitivity. He's sincere, totally unselfish but sometimes a bit lazy. I have a whole series of unforgettable memories of Lillo and our friendship is something very deep and special."

" After "Un giorno migliore" I wrote "Qualcosa di grande", which is dedicated to Guido, a guy I was at school with. He was the one who came up with the name "Senza Filtro" and at the time he was having a hard time because Lillo had made off with Chiara his girlfriend. They're not together anymore, but it shows one thing about Lillo, he's never been one to have thousands of women but the ones he has had have always been hot...real hot... "

"To begin with it was really fun giving our mobile phone numbers out in radio interviews. The first calls came from three girls who wanted to dive into bed with us. Then thousands of messages started coming through for Lillo. They said things like "you're just so cool, so cool, so cool", but we found out later it was a guy that was sending them."

Mike: " We slept in the same hotel room for the first time when we shot the "50 Special" video. We went up to Verona the night before because Walter wanted to go over the final details of the clip with Gaetano the director. The hotel was incredible, we really felt like rockstars. I shared a room with Lillo and we played at being the kind of guys who keep a bottle of whisky on top of the TV... We didn't need to open it, just the fact that it was there was, well, rock."

"When we play live the best part is always the finale, after the fast bit. Hearing Lillo beat the shit out of the cymbals is one incredibly physical high. Lillo goes into a kind of trance, brought on by the music and by being totally exhausted after playing an entire concert. He invents something completely different every time."

Gabri:  "The night we didn't pass the selection process for Sanremo, some of the Lùnapoppers got totally drunk... Lillo was particularly off his head... I'll never forget him standing his bed on end in the hotel room."

Ballo:  "The holiday in the Caribbean was really fun, even if my brain wasn't working regularly, but then neither was Lillo's... I spent a whole day in the bedroom with him, smoking and repeating things like: - Ahhhh Rastamaaaannn !!! -. The next day we left the room completely trashed and when we saw that there were still people walking around it kind of ruined our karma. Some people asked us for an autograph... I can remember that it took a lot of concentration, but Lillo and I applied ourselves and...believe it or not, we even managed to sign our names."
