Gabri plays the acoustic guitar and is also the
"second voice" for Lùnapop.
He is the only Lùnapopper who makes an effort
to keep fit in his free time.
Travels: Gabri is the lizard(?) of the group (I
think they mean sun-loving), however, he remembers a trip he liked most, which
is travelling to the Maldives. He also likes travelling to tropical
countries with his girlfriend Federica.
Federica appears on the Qualcosa di Grande and
50 Special videos.
Gabri is good at basketball and useless at 5, a
side football(?). They have tried synchronised swimming, but it was just not their
thing.
Gabri met Cesare in elemtentary (primary)
school. and stayed in the same classes until they graduated from highschool. Gabri
had no problems at school, so as Cesare was always missing out on school to find a
producer, Gabri would help him catch up on school work and Cesare would inform Gabri of
his efforts in finding a producer.
He is left-handed - so he plays a left-handed
guitar.
Nothing can separate Gabri from his guitar. He
even takes it into the shower with him.
Gabri also love Queen, The Beetles, John
Lennon's songs and Brit pop.
Gabri has been labelled Mummy's boy, one of the
reasons behind that is food. He takes ages to choose something from the menu and he
has to know how the food is prepared. When the food finally does arrive, he would
take only a mouthful, then pushes it away.
Cesare: " I
was in the same class as Gabriele ever since primary school, but I didn't find out he
played the guitar until quite late. We started off just jamming a bit, making up lyrics in
pigeon English, just so the words sounded right with the music. I was definitely not very
happy with the way things were going but at least it was a start. Then one day we had a
really heavy argument, because I was convinced that it was time to start writing songs in
Italian, but he thought I was talking shit."
"I've known Gabri for
longer than anyone else. So long in fact that sometimes I wonder when he's going to get
tired of me. He's a great guy. I've spent most of my life with him and I'm sure it will
continue that way. Gabri is perhaps a little insecure, which means that he needs a bit
more experience in life, but the Lùnapop project has certainly changed him completely and
given him a lot. A great friend. The sort of guy I'd want a child of mine to hang out
with. Gabri is someone you can't help but love. He's good-looking, intelligent and he's
never banal."
